Beautiful brands begin here!

I can’t wait to get started! I’ve put together all the info you’ll need for this process right here.

What is branding?

So many of my clients come to me thinking that they need a new logo for their project or business, when what they actually need is a BRAND.

A BRAND (sometimes also called brand identity) is the visual identity for your business. Most of the time, it is the first exposure that anyone has with your business- so your brand identity plays an essential role. Your brand identity defines the look and feel of your brand, and conveys the story you are telling your clients or customers. A great brand identity is consistent across every place your brand shows up- online, in a brochure, or on an exterior sign. The more consistent, the more likely someone is to remember and trust your brand.

So, we do a LOT of work to make sure that your brand’s visual elements align and convey all the things it needs to. This is done in the format of a logo (your brand’s main identifying piece), and other brand assets (colors, fonts, graphics, patterns).

The Brand Design Process

Onboarding

  1. Check your email! I will send you an email with your Design Services Agreement (this will need to be signed- you can do so electronically).

  2. I will send another email with your first invoice (via Quickbooks) for 50% of the package cost. The rest will be due when files are delivered.

  3. Then, you can complete the new design questionnaire. Click here to access the design questionnaire! This will need to be complete before the discovery call- it can take a bit of time, but I promise it’s worth it!

  4. Schedule your Brand Discovery call with me! This is when we will chat about everything you need your brand identity to do for you! I always love these calls, because it gives me a chance to know the people behind the business, and that ultimately ends in better design. You can schedule your call below. Please make sure that all the items listed above are completed BEFORE scheduling your call. Thanks!

Here’s a quick overview of the entire brand design process and what you can expect when working with me.

Design

  1. Based on our conversation and all the info you’ve given me, it’s time for me to start designing. I will begin working in black and white and come up with a few logo options for you to check out. At the same time, I will start pulling together color palette options.

  2. Once finished with this initial design step, I will email you the black and white logo options and the color palettes. I will wait to hear your feedback and what you like best. Once I receive your feedback, we can move on to the next step!

Refinement

  1. This is where it gets really fun! I will begin refining the logo design with any tweaks needed, and adding in the color palette you selected. I’ll also create any other brand assets in your package like brand marks, icons, social media templates, patterns and custom graphics.

  2. Once this process is finished, I’ll send it over to you so you can adore it, and also give me any feedback or refinements needed. Once I have your approval, I’ll begin file prep.

File Prep & Delivery

  1. I will begin to prep allllll the files for you and put them into a Dropbox folder for you. You will receive several different versions of your brand assets, so that you’ll always have just what you need for whatever purpose they will be used.

  2. The final invoice will be sent at this time.

  3. Once the final invoice has been paid, I will send you an email that contains the link to your new brand identity.

Timeline

I have organized my process so that most projects take 3-4 weeks from start to finish, but if you have your decision-making pants on, it can actually go much faster!

The overall timeline depends heavily on the amount of deliverables in your package and how expediently you are able to make decisions. I do my best to work as efficiently as possible and communicate any delays expected on my end beforehand.

Because of my scheduling practices, if a project is delayed over the amount of the scheduled time I have blocked off because I am waiting on a response, I will, out of respect for my other clients, move on to the next project and the delayed project will be lower priority. If a project fails to wrap within 6 months of its inception, I will consider the project complete, require the final invoice, and deliver the last version of the work to the client.
